Claire and Brady ventured to Italy for their wedding day and boy am I sure glad that they did. The pair had a small ceremony surrounded by the people that meant the most to them. The details are so simple for this wedding yet the views and venue are so historic and rustic. There is an abundance of history in the area where these two wed and the couple used that charm to their advantage.

Claire and Brady decided to celebrate their wedding in the sweetest of the lands, Tuscany.
The two newlyweds are native Canadians, but come from two different areas. The groom, Brady, is from British Columbia and the bride, Claire, from Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Montecastelli, the venue that bride and groom chose for ceremony and for dinner, is just a few miles from Monteriggioni and Siena, in the heart of the Chianti area. This was an old village in the Tuscan countryside, originally renovated and refurbished by the owner, Mr. Jens, a German handyman. In addition to being good with bricks and a hammer, is also a very good chef. The estate also produces excellent wine DOCG, which is the best prize for the bottles of high quality in Italy. Monteriggioni, north of Siena, is especially recognizable by the red dirt that can be observed during the fall season. It 's very different from the Florentine countryside because nature is much more wild and untouched. The provincial government of Siena has helped block the construction of new buildings, only allowing renovation of old, leaving unchanged the retro flavor of these lands.
Brady and Claire chose Tuscany because this is the natural crowning of their dream. They had a quite intimate symbolic ceremony to celebrate far from home with few guest. On a terrace in front of a breathtaking panorama, the newlyweds exchanged rings and promised eternal love, under the hot sun of the early afternoon. The candlelight reception was held in the courtyard of the building under a bright blue sky. A trio of violins accompanied the evening with old Italian folk songs.

This reminds me of my wedding! We were married in a nearby city hall, but our reception was at a villa in Tuscany - the location is so pretty that it was beautiful with very little work!
