Peach and White Palm Beach Wedding

Y'all, I have a good one for you today. A really good wedding with palm trees and peach florals and a happy couple.

The lovely Rebecca of Luna Bella Photography sent over this gorgeous Florida wedding and even though she sent a couple with a Gator cake (Go Hogs Go!), Mike and Ashley put together a stunning August wedding. And of course their love for being Gator fans started with meeting at the University plus a proposal on the 50 yard line to a Gator cake at their wedding. Full circle, y'all.

Every detail is so crisp and clear in their wedding. Lovely whites, charming peach, gold chairs, hydrangeas and Florida sunshine. Oh, and the back of Ashely's dress is fabulous. Lace and sheer goodness.

A big thank you to Rebecca for sending it over to us! I love getting to share pretty weddings and even more, the couples behind them! Happy Tuesday!

Mike and Ashley met in the common area of their dorm, Rawlings Hall, during their Freshman year at the University of Florida and the rest is history! Mike and Ashley are die hard Gator fans and have attended countless football games together both in the Swamp and away. It just so happened that the stadium was also the place where their forever would begin, as Mike got down on one knee and proposed on the 50-yard-line of Florida Field. Of course, Ashley said yes!

Their wedding was one of the most magical weddings I've had the honor of capturing. Their special day was filled with love and emotions especially during the father/daughter first look and the bride & groom's first touch and prayer. It was such a beautiful moment, at one point my assistant and I turned our backs to them, put our cameras down and started crying ourselves. You can feel the love through their images but with the emotions, you can also get a sense of silliness and laughter. An overflowing joy coming from Ashley, Mike, their families and friends.

Succulent and Sprinkle Cake Desert Wedding

Tuesday, you are looking mighty lovely. I am loving and totally agreeing with this weather change in little Arkansas. It is cool every morning when I go get the paper (maybe the only 20 something who reads the paper or maybe not). I also love layering. Layering with a great sweater, scarf, booties, tanks. It all makes me happy.

Only negative, a sore throat. But we can totally work with that for some Fall temps. It is crazy how good weather makes my heart soar!

I love all the bride has to say about her wedding especially that she called her wedding a celebration. A celebration y'all. It was a sweet way to say wedding and it blew me away. I love to celebrate and I know you do to but to call your wedding that. I just have never thought of it in that way before let alone vocalized it. I say Kim is one smart cookie and bride.

Kim and her mom tackled a boat load of DIY projects to create Kim's dream wedding celebration. The venue that Kim and Matt chose is so stunning. Their wedding day is full of gorgeous sunlight and amazing views of the desert. Oh, and wait until you see their cake. Sprinkle city.

And she wore Vera. Heavens to betsy, she wore Vera.

There is just so much goodness in today's wedding and couple. And that's what it is all about.

A big hug to Ryan Nicole Photography for sharing this delightful couple with us!

{From the bride}
My mom and I completed most of the wedding projects:
  • Save the dates (me)
  • Invitations (my maternal grandmother)
  • Rehearsal dinner invite (Matt)
  • Escort cards (mom)
  • Questions on the tables (mom)
  • Centerpieces and all table decorations (mom)
  • Gifts (bags of coffee) (me)
I wanted me wedding to be a very intimate occasion, with only my closest family and friends. I began collecting things on my pinterest account by simply tagging things that I liked. As time progressed, I had a theme going without even realizing it. I had pinned multiple succulents and simply white decorations. But most importantly, I wanted simple decorations to highlight the amazing venue that we chose. Matt and I love food and wine and wanted to share this amazing culinary experience with our closest friends and family. That was our primary concern with our wedding celebration.
