{Giveaway}: A Jewel to Build a Dream On

Today is my birthday! The big 2-4. I can't believe what all 23 brought me. I thought that their is no better gift for my birthday than to have my first giveaway. Hold the phone, a giveaway? YES!

My husband surprised me with this little beauty of a necklace on Etsy by Sarah of GojoDesign. He is such a good husband! This Moonlight Necklace with a night moon in silver and pearl is stunning. I love this piece and have worn it everyday! Sarah is too good. I immediately contacted her and she was more than excited to give a fabulous reader a piece of her jewels. And let me tell you, she is awesome!

I asked Sarah a few questions to help you get to know more about the designer. Say "Hi!" to Sarah!

1. Tell me a little about you. 

 I'm Sarah Rock, and my shop is GojoDesign, named after our dog "Gojo." You can check me out on Facebook but the best way to contact me is through Etsy convos.

2. How did you get started designing jewelry?

I just got my MA in psychology and a job as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at a non-profit family service agency (where I am working through the 3000 hours required to get licensed).

I needed to look smart for my new job, so after many messy years in college - I started to fix some old jewelry. That was last September. I enjoyed it SO much that I couldn't stop and .... that's how GojoDesign got started. Now I spend more time on GojoDesign than I do as a therapist :)


3. What is your favorite part of designing and selling your gorgeous jewelry?

I love doing unique custom designs for people, it's fun to collaborate and make them happy. Especially on weddings, that was the big Etsy surprise for me, so many people ask for custom wedding jewelry. I also like the way friends come and sit with me when I am working and make themselves stuff.

4. I asked her to share some fun facts about herself. She is so gifted!

I once parachute jumped out of an airplane. I can play the British National Anthem with my toes on the piano. (I was born and raised in the UK) - not all Brits can do this :)

Uh yeah. She can play the piano with her toes. Awesome!
