Stunning Riverside Australian Wedding

This day is a blessing. This blog is a blessing. I mean that there is so much good in today's wedding. It is 100% wow factor and 110% happy. True, radiant happiness. It is good y'all and it is how we get to spend our Monday, celebrating this couple.

Dharini and David had a wedding full of gorgeous views, family and friends plus lots of color. I think the bright color is so fitting for this couple. They are cheery and bright and so joyous.

Things to love:
  • Bright colors
  • Tradition and heritage
  • DIY bouquets
  • A couple full of pure happiness
A heartfelt thank you to Gold Hat Photography for sharing this darling couple!

And there are zero apologies for the picture overload. Actually a you are welcome.

{From the photographer}
The wedding was held at a riverside restaurant named Banjo Paterson Cottage. Banjo was a famous Australian bush poet, journalist and author. He wrote many ballads and poems about Australian life including perhaps the most famous, Waltzing Matilda.

The Banjo Paterson Cottage is set in acres of parkland overlooking the water. Below the cottage is a private jetty which is where the private water taxi came to whisk the bridal party off to Cockatoo Island.

Cockatoo Island is a former convict prison and shipyard situated in the Sydney Harbour. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was here that Mark from Gold Hat Photography took some creative and interesting bridal photos - a very enjoyable part of the wedding day.

The sari and jewelry were chosen by Dharini's mother.

Dharini's sister Meera gave a very heart felt speech which caused her to cry. Dharini came to her side and gave her a supportive hug which gave her the strength to finish her speech. It was very touching.
Dharini was super relaxed the whole wedding. Her and David did not fret about the details, and took a very laid back attitude to the whole day. This made family, guests and the wedding photographer all very relaxed too!
