Intimate Italian Bride and Groom Session

My biggest piece of advice for any bride is to slow down especially on her wedding day. Take a few minutes to sneak away with your groom. Stop in the middle of your reception and just look around. It all goes so quickly! You can imagine my joy when Rossini Photography sent me this couple session of Christina & Andrea. This sweet couple met at dawn to be photographed on the streets of Rome. A intimate day of picture taking, dress up, kisses and historic monuments. Grab your traveling shoes and let's celebrate Italia and love!

If you have been married, you know how hard it is to organize a wedding. Those who married abroad know how crazy the planning can get when it comes to family members and friends traveling from all around the world for a destination wedding. Take this couple, for example. She’s from the States. He’s Italian. They were planning a big, international wedding in the “lake region” north of Italy. Ultimately they decided to call off the big event and have a smaller and intimate wedding. They still wanted their portraits taken as bride and groom so we planned a photo shoot in Rome. We met at dawn in front of the Trevi Fountain to avoid the massive crowd of tourists and Romans. The bride was truly beautiful. Her dress was extremely elegant, simple and modern, tailored made in an exclusive boutique in Shangai. After the Trevi Fountain, we moved to Piazza di Spagna then we walked up the Spanish Steps. From uphill we reached the beautiful park of Villa Borghese, which rises above the center of Rome, where we had fun renting a row boat, a couple of rickshaws, and taking pictures between alleys, paths, lawns, and woods. It has been a wonderful experience. Weddings are much more of a rush. I usually have no more than half an hour between the ceremony and the reception to take bridal portraits, with the spouses worrying about their guests being left alone. For once having the chance to organize a full photo shoot made it possible to shoot some amazing images while wondering around the Eternal City.

  1. Gorgeous! One of my favorite cities. And how awesome to have the streets and venues so empty to capture such beautiful shots!
