After we booked the venue and got ready for the big day, it was time for the ceremony. I was so nervous before the ceremony. Rusty and I rarely went a day without seeing each other, let alone not even speaking. There was so much build up to our big day. We had planned details for months, been to five amazing showers, just moved all our stuff into a new home and now it was time to say "I do." I just couldn't believe that Rusty asked me to be his wife. We decided not to do individual gifts before the wedding but I had a little surprise up my sleeve (tomorrow post's I will share).
One of my favorite memories was being able to get a sneak peek at Rusty. He was right outside our get ready room and I got to take a peek at the back of him. It made me full of anticipation not only to marry him in the next few minutes but to also spend the rest of my life with him. As the ceremony started, our families were seated while Etta Fitzgerald's "Isn't It Romantic?" played. The groomsmen and bridal party walked down the isle to Michael Buble's "Hold On." My nephew was the ring bearer and Saralin was the flower girl. Saralin was about 8 months old and the little girl of one of my Matron's of Honor. Saralin is the first baby out of all us girls to have. She rode along in a wagon that Payton pulled. I also made my grand entrance to the bridge/build up of "Hold On". It still gets to me and makes me cry every time I hear it. We chose not to do a unity candle or pour sand but to take the Lord's Supper just us two together. It was so special to me. The pastor who married us practically raised me and one thing guest continue to tell me is how personal the wedding was. During the Lord's Supper one of my bridesmaids, Cheryl, sang "Your My Beloved" by Kari Jobe. The words to that song are sweet and my prayer for our marriage. You should give it a listen! You will see in a picture below that I had a hard time remembering which hand to put Rusty's ring on and got a little tickled. We kissed and then danced our way back down the isle to Katrina and the Waves "Walking on Sunshine." The day was perfect but was barely getting started. We had a lot of dancing to do!
Oh and don't forget to check out Rusty's one request for the groomsmen and ushers...Converse sneakers!

Katie...your pictures are gorgeous!! I know I've seen them before but it was great to see them again today.
