Wedding Dress Wednesday

Wednesday is upon us friends! What does that mean? Hopefully you just shouted Wedding Dress Wednesday! Hopefully.

I am always interested in featuring new designers. I was browsing a winter wedding inspiration shoot over on Green Wedding Shoes (for the inspiration shoot click here) and fell in love with the gowns they featured. I found the designer at the bottom of the post and immediately started browsing her work.

Kenneth Pool Bridal Collection is designed by Amsale Aberra. The line is just a few years old (7 years is short in the wedding industry) but is already very well known. The gowns are exquisite and feature details like beading, full skirts and a taste of luxury. Like normal I couldn't pick one but came away loving two of her amazing dresses.

The first is called Amour. It showcases a belted waist adorned with jewels that cascades into a fabulous ball gown skirt. The sweetheart neckline + ruching of course is one of my weaknesses.

The second gown is called Estelle. Notice the neckline again (told you it is a weakness). My favorite part is the skirt. The detailing is just plain gorgeous. Really think about it. That skirt was envisioned.  Someone sat down and sketched it then someone sewed it and a very happy bride will buy it. I love this dress!

After looking through the collection I like to look for recycled gowns from time to time. It interests me to see what people are selling. My best friend bought her gown on Ebay. At the time I thought she was absolutely nuts! She tried the gown on in the store but it would have cost about $800. She is the queen of budgeting and even though it looked perfect and needed no alterations she put it back. Brave, brave woman! Not giving up on her dream gown, she typed in the dress name and her size every day on Ebay (long before recycled wedding gown websites) for months. One day the gown popped up in her size and obviously only worn once. The owner and her emailed back and forth and Summer (my bff) bought the gown. The most amazing part is that she snagged it for $200. She saved $600.

Brilliant.

The gown fit perfect and Summer stuck to her budget. She actually saved money in the dress category. This makes me browse websites that resell gowns.

While looking online I came across my favorite Kenneth Pool gown, Ethereal. I am not a size 2 (and I am not getting married again) so I can't buy the dress but if you are reading and interested you can learn more about it here. The dress is marked down $2,600 smackers!

Isn't is fabulous? No explanation needed. Just stare at it. You will get why I love this dress. I have to say this is probably my favorite gown to date on Wedding Dress Wednesday.

What do you think of the gowns featured today? Are there any designers you would like featured on WDW? If so, email me @ lovebirdproduction@gmail.com. Happy Wednesday!
