Coffee Shop + Yellow Flowered Field California Engagement Session

I think this week has a running theme of bride's with fabulous hair. I have total hair envy.

Elise and Jon started their engagement session at their favorite coffee dive and then spent the day in the sunshine and open fields of San Juan, California. These two. They light up around each other. They laugh together. I really like them. There is comfort and passion that warms my heart.

And I know it will warm your heart too.

In lieu of all the wedding planning, we decided to plan Elise's engagement session in a gorgeous mustard flower field in a blossoming orange grove. Thanks to Jessica of Vintage Affair Designs we were able to style the shoot with gorgeous vintage chairs and various props. Of course, in order to tell their story appropriately, we began the day shooting at Lord Windsor Coffee Shop in Long Beach, CA. Jon is a HUGE coffee shop fan and spends a lot of time studying, working and relaxing there. Later we moved across the street taking advantage of the picturesque church archway that was catching light that morning. We finished up around sunset in beautiful San Juan Capistrano showing off the pantone color of the year, Emerald green! We found the most gorgeous field of yellow and orange to compliment. It was perfect place to set up all our stuff and hang out while the sun went down. All in all, the perfect day.
