New Vendor + Giveaway: Tabibi Design

Giveaway closed! Thank you to those who entered.

I am warning you now that this post may sound more like a love letter than an introduction to a new vendor. Meet Tina with Tabibi Design. She is the talented designer behind this quickly growing and very impressive design company. From branding and logo design to print services and paper goods, Tina has a knack for making things pretty, unique and just lovely. I am so excited to introduce her to you. Our friendship started through social media and though I cannot physically have coffee with her or hug her neck, I know I can always count on her. She is so kind and always knows what to say when you need it most. Told you it would be a love letter. Now on to Tina...

1. Give us a little background about you.

Hello! I’m Tina, the creative mind behind Tabibi Design. I have a crush on typography, beautiful calligraphy, patterns, silhouettes, bright colors, and a fine cardstock. As a designer, my goal is to provide conceptual thinking, creative solutions, and to establish a partnership with my clients.

2. How did you get started with designing?

Tabibi Design is a full-service graphic design studio located in Arlington, Virginia (in the Metro DC area). We specialize in a broad range of print materials including brand development, conference and marketing materials, publications, and event stationery. I’ve always had a passion for art and design. I took every art class offered in grade school, earned a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts program with an emphasis in design and illustration. I’ve been fortunate enough to live my life as a professional designer for more than 12 years (oops! I just aged myself) and couldn’t be happier.

I served as a freelancer and a full-time studio designer most of my career. Last December, I made the decision to establish and focus on the growth of Tabibi Design as my own studio. I have the pleasure to work with a variety of clients including small business owners, associations, nonprofits, AND the newly engaged.

3. What is your favorite part of your job?

What’s the best part of my job? There are many great perks to my job but having the capability to select the projects and clients I choose to collaborate with is at the top of the list.

The presence of social media has had a huge impact on my small studio. Social media is a fantastic resource and has allowed me to introduce others to Tabibi Design. It’s also how I met Katie of Lovebird Productions and so many wonderful small business owners. Katie and I quickly became friends. We both share a love for bright colors, beautiful design, NYC, the wedding industry, and furbabies, namely my pup Rocco and Katie’s pup, Jane.

4. What do you hope to offer brides?

In regards to the wedding industry, Tabibi Design also offer services to the newly engaged by providing custom wedding invitation designs + paper goods. I love the concept and design process behind the branding a wedding invitation suite. Whether you want something whimsical, modern, vintage, traditional or out-of-the-box, the goal is to provide the perfect style and personalized element for each bride and groom.

5. Tell us a few things about yourself!

Christmas is my favorite holiday.
Favorite holiday movie: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. I can recite most of the lines.
I’m a Taurus.
Coffee addict.
80’s music and movie buff.
I’m a runner who loves to run outdoors. It’s therapeutic.
My hubby and Boston Terrier are the loves of my life.

Don't you see why I think Tina is just perfect? And now a little peek at her wonderful work:

And now for more good news from Tabibi Design:

My studio is approaching its first anniversary in January. I’m super excited to see what projects, clients, and fun collaborations the New Year will bring! Thank you Katie for featuring Tabibi Design. I appreciate your continued love and support.
