Fit For a Queen

So I was one of the 2 billion people tuning in to watch Prince William marry beautiful Kate Middleton.  While some people are so down on the royal wedding, I love the hype surrounding it.  Yes, devastation has taken place in the South and I would never disregard that but both events are historical.  Watching that wedding was something I will always remember.  It was romantic, made my heart full and a memory to tell my children about one day.  I also love that people call me Kate so for a moment I felt like a princess.

I set my alarm for 4:30 and surprisingly woke up with ease.  I put my tiara on in bed (the won I got in high school for being named prom queen), cuddled my puppy and did live tweeting.  I was in awe of Kate's dress.  It was fabulous and so classic.  I feel like other royal wedding dresses have been trendy but this one takes the cake or royal crumpet.  Whichever you prefer.

My favorite parts of the ceremony:
1.  I loved that William was not facing her but had his back to her while she walked down the isle.  It was different but I loved that element of surprise.

2.  When Kate was walking down the isle, Harry turned around and looked at her.  He then leaned over to Wills (yes, we are good friends) and said, "Wait until you see her."  Sigh.  So sweet!

3.  You can see Prince William tell Kate she looks beautiful.

4.  I can't get over the love between those two!  It is in their actions, smiles and glances.

Every girl dreams of being a princess.  Kate got that dream.  She got the Prince, the castle and the fairytale ending.  Thank you Lord for happily ever afters!

Just in case you are itching for some keepsakes of William and Kate, try these out!

Yes, they are extremely silly but just image grabbing a bottle of water from that fridge!

Check back this afternoon for Love Song Friday!
