Wedding Dress Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! I have gotten my days confused with having a holiday weekend. I thought since Priscilla of Boston announced it was closing that we would take the time to look at a few fabulous dresses. I can't believe that a monumental store like POB is closing. They are such a staple in the bridal community, not to mention their history. Let's not be sad but be glad for all the stunning wedding dresses they have contributed to an already wonderful industry.

I love their various lines but I kept being drawn to their Jewel line. Here are a few of my favorites gowns:

I worked really hard not to post an all lace dress but two of them do have lace details. It may be that I have a small obsession with lace detailing and my eye is naturally drawn towards it. Odd enough is that I didn't have a single stitch of lace on my wedding gown.

I love the attention to detail with each dress. Whether it is a organza flower or a dropped waist that makes you sigh with love, Priscilla of Boston gets it right. They have great variation in style. You can find a nice fitted gown with an a-line skirt or a fabulous ball gown that fits perfect at the hips. Each style of gown is flattering and unique. I will miss their gowns. Sad to think that such a legacy will be shutting its doors. Like the saying..."All good things must come to an end." Just wish it wasn't time for them!

Wow..did that post turn sad or what? Sorry guys. I do apologize. I am grateful for pretty dresses to celebrate and Wedding Dress Wednesday. Hope that you each have a splendid day!

  1. I love the third gown, it's very chic and lovely. I like the flower sash in it. :)
