Wedding Dress Wednesday

Put a red flower in a girls hair and I will go nuts! Reem Acra's Spring 2012 line is fabulous, absolutely fabulous. Brides can expect cap sleeves, sheer material, textures, empire waists and pure bliss. Reem Acra has taste like no other but is still daring and inventive. I love her gowns. I wanted to know more about her and began reading her biography. I was amazed! Check out how she got her start:

"While attending the American University of Beirut, Acra was discovered by a fashion editor. Captivated with the ornately embroidered silk organza gown Acra made from her mother’s dining room tablecloth and wore to a party, she instantly offered to host a fashion show for Acra that took place ten days later. Following the serendipitous encounter, Acra studied at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and its Paris counterpart at Esmod."

I love stories like this. Who would have thought a gown made from your mom's table cloth could be such a success? But that is exactly what Reem Acra is, a success. Enjoy my top picks!
