Wedding Dress Wednesday

Before we look at beautiful gowns I wanted to start this post with a BIG thank you. This holiday season was off to a perfect start until about an hour before the beginning of 2012. Grandma Rosemary (my husband grandmother) passed away and with that we packed our bags and headed to Arkansas. Even through sadness, we are getting to enjoy time with family and friends. We are so blessed! Thank you to everyone who has sent messages, tweets, emails, called or text. Your words, prayers and thoughts have made this process less stressful. You guys really do keep me going.

On another note life is short and what we have in front of us will not last forever. Even though Grandma was 74 that still seems too young. It amazes me how many lives she has touched. I have only known her for two and half years but in that time she has left a forever imprint on my heart. I was going into her closet to get a towel and saw all of her clothes. I just stood there thinking that she couldn't take those things with her. Material things are comforting but when it is your time they no longer matter. Cherish your family. I encourage you to hug their neck and tell them you love them. Life offers us a lot of opportunities and we need to take them, excel and leave a legacy for others to follow. You may not be a celebrity or a politician but being the best mother, wife, Christian, sister, daughter, husband, teacher, secretary or whatever life gives you is the ultimate goal. Your smile and kind spirit can change many lives. Let's take what we have, make it our own and spread it around to benefit others.

With all this being said let's turn our eyes to a few beautiful gowns. I am in love with today's dresses. Do y'all ever get tired of hearing me say that? Because I think I say it every single time on WDW. Jim Hjelm is a bridal gown genius. His parents must be so proud.

And my favorite wish I could wear it everywhere even to the grocery store gown is...

Yeah. Take it in friends. I look at this dress and think Come to Mama. I love the detailing from the embroidered bodice to the tulle skirt but my favorite thing is the peach tint. I was shocked when I realized that was my favorite thing. I love colored gowns but am not brave enough to wear one that is until I saw this beauty.

I have to say Wedding Dress Wednesday just keeps getting better.

P.S. Thank you to my mother-in-law who was excited that today was Wedding Dress Wednesday!
